In an attempt to reduce the fishing mortality and end overfishing, managers implemented more restrictive fishing regulations coast-wide in 2020. 18 inch minimum size; 2 fish per person per dayonly one of those fish may be larger than 30 inches, Susquehanna Flats, Lower Susquehanna River and Northeast River, Susquehanna Flats, upstream of a line from Sandy Point to Turkey Point and the Susquehanna River downstream from a line connecting the Susquehanna State Park boat ramp at Lapidum to Twin Rocks to Tomes Wharf in Port Deposit; and the Northeast River, Susquehanna Flats closed to striped bass fishing, Susquehanna Flats reopen to striped bass fishing, 1 fish per person per day between 1926 inches, Susquehanna Flats and all Bay waters including tributaries open to striped bass fishing, 1 fish per person per dayMinimum Size 19 inches, Atlantic Ocean, COASTAL BAYS and THEIR TRIBUTARIES. The Chesapeake Bay Fall Striped Bass season opens Oct. 4 at ends at midnight Dec. 31. SoMDC covers every aspect of the SoMD Region and will continue to grow with the community.
